Sessions
Rainbow Children’s Nursery Ltd is unique in that we offer sessions tailor made to suit the needs of you and your Child. We are open Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 6.00pm, there is no minimum number of sessions per week, we only ask that the session be a minimum of 4 hours long. In our Jelly Beans Room we are able to offer term time only sessions.
We offer Holiday Club during School Holidays for Children aged 4-6 years; these children would join the Jelly Beans Room and be charged at the same hourly rate. Booking in advance is advised as we have a limited number of spaces available.
Fees
Our fees are calculated on an hourly rate, should you choose to have our meals these are added on at an additional cost. Breakfast and Snacks are included in the hourly fees and we add no additional charge for these. Once we know what your Child’s days, hours and start date will be, a contract will be drawn up and this will provide you with a monthly fee to be paid no less than 4 working days before the end of the month.
We accept payment by Cash, Cheque, BACS, Tax Free Account and Childcare Vouchers.
We appreciate that childcare is costly and we do accept childcare vouchers set up through your employer and payments from the government’s tax-free childcare scheme. This scheme is set up to reduce your childcare bill by 20%. If you are eligible for this scheme an example of it’s benefit would be:
- Child’s Monthly Bill = £200 you pay 80% of this (£160) into you tax-free account and the government will pay the additional 20% (£40) you then set your account to pay our Nursery.

Funded Early Education and Childcare
The Early Years Funding can be complicated, and we hope that the following information will help you. We are always available for any queries.
As a Setting we accept:
- 2 Year Funding – 15 hours per week term time only.
- Universal Funding for all 3 and 4 year olds – 15 hours per week term time only, this totals 570 hours for the year.
- Additional 15 hours for 3 and 4 year olds of working parents (also known as 30 Hour Funding) – Totals 1140 hours per year.
- No more than 10 hours of funding can be claimed in one day
To process the additional 15 hours for working parents of 3 and 4 year olds (30 hour funding) we need your eligibility code. How to obtain this code and check eligibility is detailed on the government’s childcare choices website.
The criteria to meet each scheme is different, you can check if your child is eligible on the government childcare choices website www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
Stretching Funding
Rainbow Children’s Nursery Ltd is open all year round for 51 weeks of the year (closing for one week between Christmas and New Year). This means you can stretch your funded hours across these 51 weeks. For children in receipt of the Universal Hours totalling 570 per year, this equates to 11 hours per week. Those receiving the additional 15 hours for working parents have a total of 1140 hours per year and this equates to 22 hours per week.
Breakfast, Lunch and Tea are not included in funding and will be charged for (unless you are choosing to provide your own food). Any additional hours to funding will be charged at the child’s room hourly rate.
